Working With Scarlet Street on the Dealey Plaza Music Video
We connected with Scarlet Street and pretty quickly hit it off, beginning to brainstorm a variety of music video ideas for some lead singles for their upcoming album. We landed on shooting a video for Dealey Plaza, a track about a break up, as well as the assassination of president John F. Kennedy in Dallas Texas.
The music video follows lead vocalist Ben through the streets of Cincinnati as he meets with the rest of the band to perform in a warehouse. With a variety of recurring shapes, environmental queues, and compositional motifs to mirror Ben’s journey, the video follows his struggle with accepting support from others as he deals with the effects of a negative event.
We also worked with the band to produce a lyric video for Dealey Plaza. Using a variety of footage tied into the theme, the lyric video released a couple weeks prior to the full music video.
