Traveling to Los Angeles to Shoot A Music Video

In early 2022, Impak reached out to my music video production company Heatseeker Digital to fly out to Los Angeles, CA to shoot a music video for his upcoming track EAZE. Eaze, Ft. Chris King, is a track off of Impak’s 2022 NATURE PAK album.

We spent time working out pre-production, sorting our travel and production equipment bookings, and took off to California for a weekend. We flew out and spent 36 hours getting the full “Hollywood” experience shooting with Impak and music producer Jug around downtown Los Angeles, CA.

The music video features a variety of visual effects, designed to be Heatseeker’s take on the style of music video production seen in much of Chris King’s music videos. Rotoscoped objects, “trippy” visuals behind the talent, and a variety of scenic backdrops were used to keep the visual palette from getting stale, and help the video’s edit match the pacing and energy of the audio track.
