Shooting I’ll Never Learn with Phantom

For this video, we wanted to do a one-shot style video, where there was constant movement and progression throughout the story and world the video is taking place in. Starting in a graffiti filled alley, the video sees Phantom progress through his day, dealing with his ‘addiction’ to music, and his unwillingness to learn from the love / hate relationship he has with his art form. 

For the look, I went with three distinct grades to parallel the story. For the first portion of the video, the image is warmer, and imperfect. With notes of distortion, chromatic aberration, and an overall imperfect feel. As Phantom progresses into the trip sequence, we see the color pushed to an almost dreamlike feel. After his trip, the look is more clean and grounded, and the elements of imperfection almost all gone. But still seeing some elements from the trip as he starts his journey all over again.
